Terms of Use
The terms for using Evercroft Home during its resident beta.
Acceptance and eligibility
By using Evercroft Home, you agree to these Terms of Use with David Saunders, an individual who provides and operates the Evercroft Home service (the “Operator”). You must be legally able to accept these terms where you live, and you are responsible for keeping account information accurate and protecting access to your account.
The Evercroft Home service
Evercroft Home is a home-memory and organization service for saving, finding and sharing household information. Evercroft Home is provided as a beta service and may contain bugs, change over time, or be temporarily unavailable.
Household sharing
When you create or join a household, you understand that household members may be able to view, create, edit and delete shared household records. Household owners control invitations, member removal and ownership transfer. You are responsible for deciding what to upload and who to invite, and should invite only people you trust with your household information.
Your content
You retain ownership of content you upload or create in Evercroft Home. You are responsible for that content and for having the rights and permissions needed to upload, store, process and share it. You grant David Saunders a limited, nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, transmit and display your content as reasonably necessary to provide Evercroft Home, including household sharing, user-requested exports and optional Evercroft Intelligence actions initiated by you. Do not upload content that is unlawful, invasive of another person’s rights, or unsafe to share.
Optional Intelligence
Evercroft Intelligence is optional. AI-generated organization and answers may be incomplete, incorrect or out of date. Review and confirm suggestions before relying on them or saving them as household information.
Exports and external sharing
When you export household data or share it through another app or service, you select the destination and are responsible for protecting the resulting file. The external destination may retain or process the data under its own terms and privacy practices.
Not professional or emergency advice
Evercroft Home and its Home Care reminders are organizational assistance, not guarantees about equipment condition or safety. Evercroft Home is not a substitute for licensed professional, emergency, safety, legal, financial, engineering, home-inspection, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, medical, veterinary or other professional advice. You remain responsible for maintenance and safety decisions.
Acceptable use and ownership
Do not misuse Evercroft Home, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, or use it to harm others. David Saunders and any applicable licensors retain their respective rights in Evercroft Home, its software, branding and service materials. You retain rights in your content, subject to the permissions needed to operate the service.
Third-party services
Evercroft Home may rely on services such as Supabase, OpenAI when Intelligence is used, Expo/EAS infrastructure and Sentry if configured. Those services may have their own terms and privacy practices.
Termination and disclaimers
You may stop using Evercroft Home and may use available account deletion controls. David Saunders, as the Operator, may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary for security, misuse or service operation. To the extent allowed by law, Evercroft Home is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis and without promises that the beta service will always be uninterrupted or error-free.
Liability and governing information
Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot legally be limited. To the extent permitted by applicable consumer law, David Saunders, as the Operator, will not be responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the beta service. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer-protection law applies.
